Pitchers and Catchers
While spring may officially start in March, for baseball fans spring starts on the day pitchers and catchers show up for spring training. In 2010 pitchers and catchers report for duty on February 18. This year there are a number of teams with new catchers and new pitchers, so it looks like MLB players will be having to work a bit harder, especially pitchers and catchers. Fans are already looking for Red Sox spring training tickets to see what the Saux are up to. And after winning the World Series last year, Yankees Spring training tickets are also going fast.
Pitchers and catchers work on all kinds of stuff. Most importantly, the catcher needs to learn his pitchers, their strengths and weaknesses, how they react to different situation, how much command they have with each of their pitches. Its always a challenge to get it all worked out, thats why pitchers and catchers need to show up to spring training earlier the the rest of the MLB squad.
